You have no inclination to change your vote (if you have one), nor am I inclined to support, or even vote for your candidate.
It is comforting to believe that Arnold will run the State like a finely tuned machine, getting rid of the weight and drag, making the machine produce more and more and more. Yes, I am doing my best to get him elected.

Dan weintraub on Schwarzenegger's appearance on Howard Stern:
Quid pro schmo?
Arnold Schwarzenegger survived his stint with radio shock jock Howard Stern today, a segment in which Stern seems to have intentionally turned it down a notch to protect his buddy from embarrassment. But the segment had its moments. Stern brought up Cruz Bustamantes use of the N-word and asked why that wasnt getting more attention. Schwarzenegger said everybody makes a mistake and thats not what has put California in a bad way. Stern asked him if he wanted that other jerk-off Republican to get out of the race, and Arnold brushed off the question, saying he just needed to get his supporters to the polls. Stern asked if Arnold would repeal a Los Angeles law restricting lap dancing, and Arnold said no, thats a matter of local control. As Arnold tried to drone on with a version of his stump speech, Stern kept trying to interrupt him with a demand that Schwarzenegger give him something in return for his support. Stern said he wanted something named after him a road, a bridge, a school or a job in the new administration which he could perform from New York. They settled on giving Stern a title, and Arnold promised to get back to him with something. But after the interview, Stern decided that having a park named for him would be even better, and he suggested that such a promise from Arnold would energize the shows listeners and help the actor win in a landslide.

You have no inclination to change your vote (if you have one), nor am I inclined to support, or even vote for your candidate. So, if Arnold had to pull out of the race, would you vote for McClintock?

McClintock on Hannity and Colmes now.
Sean is a fan of his (we went round and round the other day with some McClintock supporters).
McClintock ably knocks down Alan's parroting the idiotic liberal line about the consistancy between Florida and California. Either these libs are all stupid or plain evil with their lies and misrepresentations.

I'm listening to Arnold on Larry King.

Arnold is very gracious. He is positive and does not disparage Tom in any way, rather compliments him. Class act. LKL is a goofball.

McClintock on Hannity and Colmes refuses to say he would accept Schwarzenegger's support if (by some miracle, IMO) he overtook Arnold in the polls.
Very ungracious and petulant sounding. He sounded good talking about the facts regarding the court, but sounds very very small and petty when it comes to Schwarzenegger. (Also said he's a good filmmaker and his role, should he, Tom the Great, ascend to the governorship, should be to go make movies. He gave him a verbal pat on the head. So condescending.)

I'm listening to Arnold on Larry King.I forgot. Switching now.

Arnold is very gracious. He is positive and does not disparage Tom in any way, rather compliments him. That is very interesting. See my post that follows yours on McClintock's attitude when he was just on Hannity and Colmes.
I just switched to LKL (in time for commercial, will stay on CNN.)

"I'll ask you straight out. If you are here to unify the party and get the conservatives on board with Arnold, why do you sit and ridicule them for their beliefs and the way they lead their lives? Why do you make snide comments to them, ridicule them, belittle them, and tell them in post after post how stupid they are? Is this how you think converts are made?BRAVO, Hoverbug. That was so good I looked up your more recent posts. It was a very enjoyable read.
Best regards,

So, if Arnold had to pull out of the race, would you vote for McClintock?I don't think so. It would depend on the momentum. Maybe, but I'd probably vote against the recall, because McC can't win and I'd rather have greyout than bustamecha. We'll have to wait and see.
