Hamas does have a armed wing, however they also have an educational wing, hospital wing extra.

bin laden is also revered throughout that fetid region for giving money to the poor people there. Does that mean we should just ignore the "armed wing" of al qaeda and treat them as just another political group?

We are speaking about Hamas, but if you want to get into a conversation about ME politics, that's something different.

A-Q want only a few things and are prepared to pay the ultimate price to get what they want.

US and it allies out of the Middle East, including Iraq

Palistinian Issue solved (not talked about, but solved)

They see the west and especially the US as being anti Islamic because of their one sided view of of Israel.

Just like the Sien Fein, the Tamil Tigers, all who were recognized by their respecitive governments before the issues were solved (at least partly).

Now you may say we cannot talk to these people as they allegedy killed so many people in 9/11. Well in 20 or 50 years time when even more people have have been murdered on both sides, we will be sitting down to talk or the spiral will continue, if you think it cannot continue, look at Israel.
