More US soldiers wounded in Iraq
Another three US soldiers in Iraq have been wounded, in separate attacks near the central town of Fallujah and the northern city of Mosul.
Witnesses say one soldier has been injured in the village of Amiriyah, about 35 kilometres south of Fallujah, when a mine exploded as an American convoy passed by.
The US military says one soldier has been wounded in Mosul in an attack with an explosive device and small arms, while another serviceman has been hurt in the same city in an assault an hour later.

I keep on seeing news articles about how our soldiers are being attacked in Fallujah
I think it is HIGH TIME that our military adopts the IDF's dozer tactics in that area.

This is not possible. Only several days ago some goof here said Bush had things firmly in hand and things were getting better. Are you asking me to disbelieve what people here tell me?

Does anyone realize that we STILL have troups in Germany and Japan. We were still encountering Japanese soldiers on remote Pacific islands long into the 50's and I believe. 60's.
And those were AFTER the countries had surrendered. H
Here we are fighting, not a country, but a philosophy of hate. Hate spread over all continents and most countries in the world.
We are in a war that will last long after we and our children are dead, and probably longer.
The world changed drastically on September 11, 2001!

If you focus on one small incident out of the whole panorama, sure it will look like the whole world is going to hell. This is the disadvantage to modern news reporting and modern news watching habits. It distorts reality. The picture we have of reality is grossly twisted by the constant stream of bad news and the constant focus on any particular event/problem. Our picture/concept of reality bears little resemblence to what actually exists. But we feel ourselves to be more informed because of the torrent of information in which we swim.
Perhaps Baudrilliard is correct- we exist already in a hyper reality in the West (and particularly in America).

More people died in traffic accidents in Des Moines than were killed in Iraq today.

I love your handle.
There are so many replacement theology religions how that are saying that Jesus was NOT a Jew.
Those religions are blasphemous.

I believe that our military is making steady progress in Iraq.
