The airport website doesn't have any flights listed since Oct. 31, 2000. The archives say when the intifada started the airport was shut down and that was Sept of 2000 so the info from both sites fits.

But I share your humor, the only thing that ever flew out of it was Arafat Mi-8(?) russian built helicopter. Why doesnt it fly out of there any more? During Oct 2001, when the filthy palies were killing Israelis every weekend at 25+ a clip, the Israeli shot a missile at it from a helicopter gunship.
