How will militias ever take on the fed govt if necessary without automatic weapons?

So why do those seditious bastards want the "killing machines" exclusively in the hands of the gov't?
Haven't they learned anything from history?

Haven't they learned anything from history? The ones in charge have learned real well. The average Democrat (and Republican too apparently to look at the drooling Republican idiots who see nothing wrong with Geo Bush endorsing gun control) is too stupid to ever make the connection.

"How will militias ever take on the fed govt if necessary without automatic weapons?" A noteworthy corollary to this question would be "With all it's military superiority in having tanks, artillery, aircraft, ships, etc., why is the federal government and it's cronies so obsessed with taking away simple small arms from the law-abiding citizenry?"

And they know that legal guns are not the source of crime, yet they imply to non gun owners that they are the exact cause of gun crime.

The recent death of the socialist demonrat in Sveeeeeeedun must of ruffled the socialist rats here in the Republic. The chicken littles forgot she was stabbed , not shot.
As to the need for a machinegun or not. Everything I may ever need in the "full auto" (real assult weapon) is carried by the little PC hired SWAT cop down the street. She keeps it all oiled, clean and zeroed for me 24 and 7 with lots of fresh and free ammo. Anything else I may ever "need" is at Wal-Mart in household section.
Aside from this we still have the Soap, Ballot and Jury box to empty before we ever get to the Ammo box. As long as hard machines are driven by soft skin humans a 22 long rifle cartirdge has a purpose IMHO. One of favorite uses of the .22 is by the IDF who like to kneecap the PLO members of the Internation Ernest T. Bass rock chuckers club. They will have all the neat and wild exotic gear in the world yet they profit and gain more with the 10-22 ruger and one of my favorite little plinkers a beretta 70 or 71S which was/is a mossad kewl tewl.
Stay Safe Joe !

Thanks for the heads up. Our work started at the last election because without the "A" rated politicians we gained that November, we wouldn't have the Congress we have now.
Now all we have to do is remind them why they were elected.

Joe, look at some of the features that the CSGV says make a gun an "assault weapon".
any gun with the ability to accept a detachable magazine satisfies the high capacity component of the assault weapon definition. any firearm that possesses control-enhancing features satisfies the second prong of the assault weapon definition.
In the absence of a protruding, forward handgrip, a shooter could use the nonshooting hand to control an assault weapon by holding directly onto the barrel. However, the discharge of ammunition generates tremendous heat; during rapid discharge, the barrel quickly becomes too hot to handle. On some assault weapons, the barrel is encased in a heat-dissipating shroud that allows the shooter to hold on without getting burned. On other assault weapons, an insulating forward stock, which may be sculpted to accommodate the hand, functions as a second grip.
Pay particular attention to the parts I have put in bold. This could (and will be) interpreted to mean ANY rifle that has ANY type of stock for the non-trigger hand that could "insulate" your hand against the heat of the barrel. Remember those 20 round mags that the Germans made for trench warfare in WWI for bolt action Mausers? According to them, that 80 year old bolt action Mauser is now an assault weapon.
And what really disgusts me are the people with the $8000 custom made trap guns who peer down their noses and wonder what anyone needs with an "assault weapon". HELLO! The Second Amendment wasn't written to ensure that you could shoot at brightly colored clay targets!

"Why don't we throw out the Fifth Amendment?"To that, I would add: "Now that we have DNA technology we should require a national date base of the DNA of every citizen and resident in the name of "security". If it will save just* one life, won't it be worth it?" (/sarcasm)
*The word "just", when used has an adverb, as always been a red flag to me. Whether written or spoken, its use is meant to diminish the perception of the request to the advantage of the speaker; "Could you just loan me a hundred dollars?" The word just, in this sentence, is used to make a hundred dollars sound like less than a hundred dollars. The left, when addressing what it perceives to be an unsophisticated audience, will use the word "just" to avoid any serious objection to proposals that will limit liberty, cost taxpayers, or enrich the left politically.
We don't want to take away your guns, we JUST want to register them, so we (?) know where they are.

Children are their primary target audience. Children and those voters with infantile intellects.
The latter group gives them their present clout.
The former group can give them... the future.

The VPC/Bradys/MMMarchers/etc. started by defining assault weapons as having evil features that include banyote lugs, flash suppressors and forward grips.
Now that a bunch of weapons having these characterisitics have been banned, they are saying these are NOT what defines an assault weapon. Instead it all boils down to two features: large capacity mag and semi-auto (they sometimes cite a forward grip - their definition changes from paragraph to paragraph).
We need to convince the guys with deer rifles and skeet guns that they need to stand up now because it won't be too long before their guns are next on the "to be banned" list.
