>>>"Even here in Missouri where the illegal problem isn't as bad as California or Arizona, people are starting to take notice."<<<

Ditto here in NC. But, just in case, I make SURE people take notice.

In stores when I use my card and have to choose between English and Spanish on the little computer thingy, I say in a loud and clear voice: "Why do I have to choose between English and Spanish in America??" Lively debate usually follows with most people agreeing with me.

From what I hear, NC has it pretty bad with the illegals. I'd hate to see your state going over to the leftist democrats.

STEIN REPORT XXXXX Monday, September 15 2003 09:10:56 ET XXXXX NEARLY 80 PERCENT OF NORTH CAROLINIANS WANT IMMIGRATION REDUCED An August 2003 Carolinas Poll found that the vast majority of North Carolina respondents think that immigration should be curtailed because it's too easy to immigrate to the United States, and 61 percent of the poll's 908 respondents said U.S. immigration laws are ineffective. The Charlotte Observer reports that follow-up interviews indicate that most respondents said the weak economy -- not terrorism -- is the main reason they want immigration laws toughened.

You are not alone in North Carolina.
