Ditto here in NC. But, just in case, I make SURE people take notice.

STEIN REPORT XXXXX Monday, September 15 2003 09:10:56 ET XXXXX NEARLY 80 PERCENT OF NORTH CAROLINIANS WANT IMMIGRATION REDUCED An August 2003 Carolinas Poll found that the vast majority of North Carolina respondents think that immigration should be curtailed because it's too easy to immigrate to the United States, and 61 percent of the poll's 908 respondents said U.S. immigration laws are ineffective. The Charlotte Observer reports that follow-up interviews indicate that most respondents said the weak economy -- not terrorism -- is the main reason they want immigration laws toughened.

You are not alone in North Carolina.

Certainly the economy plays a big part -- we don't want "them" taking our jobs nor do we want to pay their way (not all, but enuf to be concerned), but I'm willing to bet that those being interviewed were trying to be PC 'cuz there's plenty of polite discussion here about the legal and illegal invasion. The clip you posted makes me feel great!! A lot of us are doing whatever we can to keep this beautiful state out of leftie 'RAT hands, but it's an uphill battle especially with the loss of some of the older, conservative pols.

And it's a joy, I tell ya!! I can speak my mind about these issues without the KA leftie look that implies your views are racist, bigoted, stingy, and mean. Thank God.
