Brit Hume just did a brilliant analysis that I can hardly do fair justice. One of the things that he said is that within the ruling is extraordinary language about where the October election is in the "public interest". Brit said that it is not the court's job to judge what in in the "public interest", it is the court's job to interpret the laws. They are to determine what the law says, regardless of whether it is a bad law or in the "public interest."

Brit can talk all he wants about the court isn't supposed to determine the "public interest" but it won't do any good. The courts have totally become about determining the public interest versus interpreting the law. Those days are long gone, I'm afraid.
