When you look up about impeaching Federal Judges, you find the following quotes from Dr. Eastland, a Constitutional Scholar:
Said Eastland: "I think we need to revive the notion that judges can be impeached when they refuse to follow the law or they so distort the law and issue rulings like this. That threat of impeachment needs to be revived."
Eastland explained that federal judges are appointed for life, or for as long as they exhibit good behavior. He pointed out that the House of Representatives has the right to bring impeachment proceedings.
Note: This was about another ruling by the 9th Circuit Court concerning Boy Scouts. It looks like they can be impeached if the House of Reps takes action for not exhibiting good behavior. Not following the law sure seems like bad behavior to me.

Now THAT is insulting. If I read the ultra-liberal Nine Circus Clowns right, their logic for nullifying an election is based on the premise this election won't be open and fair?? That's a novel claim in American jurisprudence - a radical claim in fact unprecedented in American history. I hope Sandra Day O'Connor hears how these people in the Nine Circus think - that they believe bottom line, SOME Americans are too stupid to vote so every one else has to be deprived of THEIR right to vote and so that's why this election has to be halted. Oy vey!

Laurie Dhue from FNC just pointed out that the 3 Judge that ruled on this
1 was appointed by Jimmy Cater
2 were appointed by Bill Clinton
I'm SHOCKED ... /sarcasm >

Clinton: This school represents the future of America because it's in the first state without a majority of any group of people. The diversity represented in this school is something I've tried to preach all over the world.
We have to share the benefits and values. Everyone counts and has a respaonsible role to play. We all do better when we work together.
Our common humanity matters. The lessons you teach in this school are the lessons that people fail to recognize all over the world which is what creates all the problems in the world. (huh)
Someday we will elect an Hispanic woman in the United States for president.
Advice to young people who want to be president: I don't care what your problems are - you have to believe you can live your dream. I have lived a totally improbable life. (you can say that again).
My mother made me believe I could do anything I wanted to do. (yeah - rape, pillage, sell foreign security secrets to China - you get the idea).
I'm just writing my memoirs now and my teachers come out big. I write endlessly about my teachers - about the lessons I learned and waht they taught me.

I was speaking to John Edwards campaign finance guy and he had told me a week ago that the Kerry campaign was in a mess. He had drinks with several Dem buddies from the other campaigns after the Las Vegas debate and they were all in agreement that Bob Schrum was trouble. In fact, he had discouraged the Edwards campaign from hiring him and had told them it would cause huge problems if he came on board.

"...That threat of impeachment needs to be revived."Especially when the people of CA just revived the threat of a righteous recall!
It's getting to be time to revive both impeachment AND recall on EVERY insolent prig that holds office in this state and in the nation!!!

The Florida electorate had the right to remove the rogue judges. That wouldn't have helped Bush, but it would have done something even more important: It would have upheld the concept of federalism. Again, since Florida involved the election of the only nationally elected official, it was appropriate for the USSC to be sure the laws were followed. The federal government has no reason to be involved in the recall election. I disagree with your view on the Florida fiasco, but I agree with the principle of federalism.
To: Luis Gonzalez
This is the time for him to seize the day, and gain strenght.
or give up...
his followers have really poisoned the well.
I have become a fully hardened Arnie Rinobot...
heh heh....
this guy and his followers are too much like the judge moore "true believers" for me to support...
McC needs to gain some INSIGHT into how he and his followers deal with people... Snotty arrogance turns me off.
But you are always free to change your opinion to meet the demands of your conscience. This delay was not unexpected.
To: doodlelady
Apparently it will now be appealed to SCOTUS so this is NOT final by any means.... At least that's what FOX News is saying. Florida again?

I do agree with preserving federalism here too - but here you have ultra liberal federal appeal court justices overriding not just the CASC but two lower federal trial courts on the basis of a VERY novel and unheard of theory.

A school is being named after Clinton in California because the officials who make such decisions are too dumb to know how to vote, let alone how to name their schools.
