We have to stop blaming Dean and the rest of the Democrats for taking it to the President.

After all, unless they criticize the President strongly on the conduct of the War on Terrorism and Iraq, there is no way they will be able to hurt his standing with the electorate.

Unless they chip away at the President's successes, they will not be able to seriously contest him in the fall election.

Therefore it is neceessary to tear down the President and work to the detriment of the country, or there will not be a viable Democratic contender in 2004.

And what's more important, success against the terrorists, or success for the Democratic Party in 2004?

They really have no choice.
