Ha!! The HRC is acting like our Congress with regard to shutting down conservative talkie radio, afraid to take the verbal arrows of Active, Aware, Alert Citizens, enjoying their God given First Amendment Rights.

Hey, HRC get used to it, and face the facts, Free Republic is here to stay at it is Big, real Big factor in political social and cultural discourse and is supported solely by it's members and lurkers and most of all the hard work and loving dedication of our good host, Jim Robinson.

I would say that Mayor Autry is quite right. It seems to me that Ms. Reyes 'news release' was done in concert with the anarchist and leftist websites call to disrupt and harrass the FR rally and specified violence as one of their means. That constitutes conspiracy to assault and civil disorder by a government official/employee. The link may be further established if her admission to networking with people online to document FR threads includes people who posted on the other websites. There's a collusion to commit mayhem here.

Remember, this twit sent out a press release to local media, from an official agency of the city, declaring that FR is a hate group, using the seal of the City of Fresno!
So if President Bush stands on a podium with the seal of the United States in front of him and says that the KKK (or the NAACP, or the Daughters of the American Revolution, or the Democratic Party, or FreeRepublic) is a hate group, they can sue him for libel?

Actually, there are several members of the HRC to supposedly represent all minority groups.

Each council member appoints two and the mayor gets three. There is 17 members (or so) on the HRC.

Debbie Reyes admits that she did not confer with the other council members before sending the notice to the police and news media ( under the City of Fresno Seal)

Get a grip. I find it very telling that you would twist my words to arrive at such a silly interpretation. I trust the vast majority of Freepers to control their anger and write reasoned and polite responses.
