I want to know how many soldiers have been injured, personally. I don't know why we don't talk about them.

I want to know too. My son in law just returned from over there and has lost many friends there and in Afghanistan. He
thinks that those injured and killed should be on the news every night as America's heros. We should know they were real people, and matter.

"I want to know how many soldiers have been injured, personally. I don't know why we don't talk about them."

I don't either, but there is nothing hidden about these figures at all. They have been public knowledge right from the beginning. Al Guardian's own attributions do not justify their headline, which implies a cover-up, or their conclusions. Can anyone say "strawman"?

The statement "most Americans will be shocked by..." is another strawman, and clairvoyant authoritarianism as well, since Al Guardian has no rational basis for presuming to speak for "most Americans."

Not sure what you want to discuss about those that are injured. They fall into many different categories, including hostile and non-hostile, with varying degrees.

The seriousness of the situation is being minimized to the American public.

Its funny how they are all concerned about the wounded soldiers while they are in the military, but once they are discharged and become disable veterans, the Republicans and Democrats alike do all they can to screw them.

Most of these disabled veterans will battle years for benefits, and endure months of backlogged VA medical appointments to get basic needs.

And while they are putting up with this, the Congress and Senate will do all they can to cut thier veterans benefits, claiming they are entitlements.

We need them today, but when they are no longer useful, they are simply thrown away. Its pathetic.

If you sign up at the Dept of Defense internet site, you can get daily emails on military injuries and deaths. That should give you some data.
