Papa John's is our family's favorite pizza. Unfortunately, they don't deliver to us out in the sticks here, so we don't get it very often. My son worked for them for a short time, and it was a really nice place to work, he says. I havent been to a Papa Johns in a LONG time. The last time was a couple years ago when I went out to Los Angeles. Never heard of a Papa John's before then, and dont have one anywhere near me to me knowledge but I'll be sure to throw my business to them as well if the chance ever comes up.

But Dr Browns makes a great creme soda too! It's been too long since I've been to NY My local supermarket just had a sale on Dr. Brown's. Didnt have the celery soda, but had the cream, and black cherry flavors. Boy, it was tough to get, because everyone was grabbing it off the shelves..and by the time I got there, there would be only a few six packs left. Sometimes none at all. But I did manage to grab a few anyhow.

we used to have a guy in our mortar section that always carried a couple 12" sticks of pepperoni...til one of the nco's told him that there is something really fubar about a meat that never goes bad.

Pizza, Jewish and Italian Deli, and some really amazing Italian and Chinese food... Kansas City just doesn't have it... You're in luck because there are New York Pizza places that deliver all over the country!
Here is just one of them:

They sell bagels too!

If anybody has any info on websites or message boards from the troops that detail requets for personal items, please list them. Here's one I just learned about which lists books and other items requested by individual service members. Addresses for the troops are posted. www.booksforsoldiers.com
Here's another site worth supporting, IMHO: www.opgratitude.com.
FReeperette Ragtime Cowgirl has a huge list of links to good news articles and ways to support the troops on her profile. And you may be interested in getting on her "Pro-Coalition/Anti-Wanker" ping list.

I have always loved Pappa John's Pizza. It truly is my favorite pizza. This will make me love them even more, if that is possible.

I enjoy their pizza more than most and they've always had great customer service.
I just wish I could stop them from sending those peppers with every order. After half a day, the smell of those things could qualify as weapons of mass destruction.

I never had Papa John's Pizza, but I sure love Imo's Pizza (if you have never had one you gotta try it next time your in the midwest)

Another St. Louis favorite Pizza was "The Hunk - Pantera's Pizza" which has been gone for a long time. It was a deep dish pizza and Godfather's Pizza tried to copy it without success. (now I am craving pizza!)

I've never really liked Papa John's pizza, but they'll get my money from now on. Any company that would go to that kind of trouble for our guys is worth more than gold. I'll LEARN to like it.

The delivery was spurred by an online customer request form received from a U.S. Air Force major through the company's Web site, www.papajohns.com. According to a news release, the soldier said he "would like to bring my favorite taste of home to the troops temporarily assigned with me." This a bit of a pet peeve of mine. I just heard Rush refer to a Marine as a soldier and now this. An Air Force member is not a soldier. We are Airmen.

Colorado's a great place to live, but the deli sucks. When I'm in NYC I bypass the gourmet restaurants to fill up on the deli.
