Great article except that it is all a complete lie. Government switching to a new operating system to protect their tax payers. Governments doing the most efficient thing because it is cheaper. A socialist government doing that. No way.

Yea, the politicians in Berlin are saying, see we can recompile the operating system to meet our own needs and we can see the internal code that runs the system. Hint, they don't even read the bills they sign into law. They don't have the intelligence to look at source code.

Somebodies brother just got a nice hunk of change to sell something that cost him nothing to distribute. Evil American Microsoft just got a black eye. In a year or two, somebody else's brother will get a nice check to replace the systems with something else.

Yea, this is about the better technology. Right.

Could you kindly explain how a company that distributes software essentially for nothing can out-corrupt a company like Microsoft with some 40 billion dollars in its bank account?????????????
