So you are saying if the far right elects Bustamante this time, the state will keep going far left, so it will be easier for a right wing republican to be elected in 2006.

Is that the logic they are using now?

I copied and pasted this message verbatim from a private message sent to me by an avid Mcclintock supporter. I'd reveal his name but it might embarrass him. It explains fully, why they are willing to let bustamante win.

As far as the election goes, I think there are three Democrats and one Republican running. The Dems are Davis, Bustamante and Schwarzenegger. The only Republican is McClintock. Having that said, if McClintock can't win, I'd just as soon have Bustamante. He'll only make the Dems look worse, and we can have a Repub. Gov. in 2006.
