Who We Are:
The CRL is a permanently chartered Republican volunteer organization, founded in 1964 to insure that the Republican Party represents the views of the majority of California Republicans. We are men and women, old and young, members of all races, creeds, tax brackets, and sexual orientations who welcome all persons of like minds. Membership is not limited by any bias or prejudice. We encourage all citizens who want to elect more Common Sense Republicans to all levels of government to join us.
Status of the Party:
Control of the California Republican Party is currently in the hands of a group of individuals who do not have the support of mainstream Republican voters. These individuals represent only the extreme right wing of the party, and therefore, the majority of California Republicans are without a voice in the state party. Control by the far right of the state party has been disastrous for out Republican candidates and representatives. Their policies, statements, and actions have lead to the defeat of Republican officeholders at every level of government throughout California. If you agree with out mission statement, we invite you to help us bring out Grand Old Party back to the Republican majority! Join the CRL!
Yank the Plank!:
It is undeniable that the majority of California Republicans are Pro-Choice, as are the majority of Californians. The State and National Parties' position on abortion is not only contrary to the views held by a majority of California Republicans, but is proving a liability for Republican candidates in their attempt to win votes from Independents and Democrats. Therefore, we are currently working with other Republican groups throughout the state to delete all direct and indirect references to abortion in the California Republican Party platform and the national Republican platform. We say, "Yank the Plank!"

Now I am sure of it, I don't like their policies...full text posted above...

Good lord!!! They think the current elected officials are too "conservative"??? As opposed to what idealogy exactly??? Well I guess they are right of Lenin, and they feel that is a bad thing???
Yank the Plank:
And Lose.
Thank you for the FYI

After you were so nice, I come back at you...
I wonder what some of these Arnold-haters...
I do not believe that many people here "hate" Arnold, we just do not politically align with his views. He MAY be fiscally conservative (though the jury is still out) but to say he is liberal on social matters is an understatement. (i.e. Pro-Choice, Pro-Gay, Anti-Gun, etc. etc.)
Then when he "flips" (though it could be handling...) it does not reassure us that he is not a Democrat in Republican clothing (aka RINO).
But no, I don't hate him, if Tom can't win, I hope Arnold wins, he is the lesser of two evils...

Arnie has a thing for him as well!
Schwarzeneggers sprawling office within his company, Oak Prods., contains busts of Lenin, Reagan and John E Kennedy (whom Schwarzenegger admired, he says, even before marrying Maria Shriver, JFKs niece). A group of bodybuilders from St. Petersburg brought the 3-foot Lenin head into the U.S. after the Soviet Union dissolved and presented it to Schwarzenegger.
The next year, they wanted to top themselves. When they unveiled (a bust of) Stalin, I said no. I had to explain to them why, he says. Lenin was not as evil. He was just in the right place at the right time. But Stalin was evil. He was a dictator beyond belief. There were questions of who was more evil, Hitler or him. For the record, there are no plans for a Saddam Hussein statue in the Oak offices. Saddam didnt start anything great, he says. But Lenin started communism and the whole Karl Marx thing. He started something that lasted 70-something years.

in his 1977 autobiography, Schwarzenegger said he reached a deal with a legendary figure in the bodybuilding industry "to pay me a weekly salary in exchange for my information and being able to use photographs of me in his magazine."
That arrangement, said a half dozen immigration attorneys across the nation, appears to have violated the terms of his visa.
"It allows you to come in to conduct business, but to be gainfully employed you need a visa that allows you to be gainfully employed in the United States," said New York-based immigration attorney Steven S. Mukamal. "It would seem that Mr. Schwarzenegger violated his own status."
Arnold performed no work, so it's not a "salary". He licensed permission to use his pictures and talk about him in the mag in exchange for a license fee to be paid in weekly installments.

Politics is about winning and holding power, but not at any cost. For a conservative Republican, "not at any cost" means, not at the cost of electing a liberal.
Throwing away, setting aside or surrendering ones conservative principles to elect a liberal like Schwarzenegger, the next governor of California, is not my idea of winning either.
I've been a Republican delegate over the years here in Colorado. Many years ago, I was a junior delegate for the New York State Conservative Party convention.
Btw, nice pic of PresBush remembering the Twin Towers. I found that pic myself and posted it on my profile page just after 9-11.
"Mr. Schwarcenegger is paid by Weider International for stories he writes for various publications and for pictures of himself. Another fringe benefit is the fact that he purchases Formula #7 and other Weider products at cost. (Tr. 303) He, also, consults with Mr. Weider about once a month on the subject of physical training. (Tr. 316) "

And.... just last week he said he had a "resident visa" when he first came here in 1968.
