I do believe his staff is failing him on issues like this, but in Schwarzenegger's defense (oh quit groaning), he has had about a month to develop policy and press the flesh. People probably think he should have done more, but by now I'm surprised his head isn't suffering shell shock.
This article has merit. I do think the 5am until midnight schedule these guys get on makes it difficult to accomplish everything we desire. I do think Schwarzenegger should be sharper on certain issues by now.

Arnold doesn't have a clue. If Mr. Weintraub had asked
the same questions of McClintock, McClintock would have
given him "chapter and verse".

Arnold has had far more than a month to think about these issues. He's lived in this state since 1968, and has been seriously considering a run for governor since at least early 2001.

What is amazing is McClintock is the kind of candidate everybody claims they want to elect. Won't break promises, isn't slick and smooth, doesn't compromise his principles for a special interest buck, etc. So then the dream candidate is here, the one everybody claims they want, and people say "he can't win." Sad, sad, sad, letting the elite media keep brainwashing you into voting for a compelete slickster, the prototype politician you claim you can't stand, and you foam at the mouth for him.

It's hard to understand how folks could so solidly cast their support behind someone who's revealed so little about his views. All I've heard is that folks think his business success will translate into good governance; of course, one could make the same claim regarding Corzine.

Because they saw the last five years where we were going. They saw the increases in workers compensation. If they would have been out there and listened to what the people are saying, what the businesses are saying, they would have started working on it already two years ago. ....WELL, geez, Arnold you have been planning this chance of govenorship for two years, weren't YOU listening to the people????
....shouldn't you have had a procurable plan ?
....Arnold, this aimless drivel of yours is really getting old!

McClintock has the only realistic solution. Scrap the whole system as it is currently run and start over. The current system can not be patched. The current system will collapse.
