SACRAMENTO - Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger has denounced illegal immigration in his bid to become California's next governor, but the Austrian native may have stretched the bounds of United States law to secure his own ticket to America in the 1960s.
As a 21-year-old bodybuilder, Schwarzenegger came to the United States in 1968 on a B-1 visa, which allows visiting athletes to compete and train, but bars them from drawing a salary from an American company.
But in his 1977 autobiography, Schwarzenegger said he reached a deal with a legendary figure in the bodybuilding industry ``to pay me a weekly salary in exchange for my information and being able to use photographs of me in his magazine.''
That arrangement, said a half-dozen immigration attorneys across the nation, appears to have violated the terms of his visa.

Yup, 11 more times to elect more moderates to undercut any chance to turn this state and nation around and restore the constitutional republic to its deserved place of honor in theannals of history.

So Arnold drew a salary on a B-1 visa roughly 30 years ago.
Obviously, we don't care about this any more than we cared about the fact that a President we elected dodged the draft with trickery and then skipping off to Oxford more than 30 years ago.
If the latter is no big deal (as apparently it was), then the former is mere trivia. Right?
And here we see the TRUE Klinton Legacy!
Now you want Conservatives to sell their principles for a bowl of pottage, since it's OK because of the Klinton Legacy?
Sorry, it was WRONG when Klinton's supporters did it...it's wrong when WE do it!
So you are saying you LIKE your candidates to be supporters of Illegal Infiltrators (especially when it seems your candidate didn't give a DAMN about the laws when it suited him...), what OTHER laws do you thinlk it's OK to violate as long as there's and (R) after his name...
Just so we can have at least SOME idea what you all believe in...and you can prepare to defend him in case he violates/tramples laws that are "inconvenient" in the future.

All polls aside, the fact that the dems are hauling out this crap tells me the dems internal polling says they can beat McClintock, but Arnold is a winner.

You think AS doesn;t have people looking for dirt on Tom.. LOL
newsflash - kindegarden teacher remembers "Tom used to always look at me funny. I still don't know why to this day."
He liked to eat the blue crayons, most kids preferred red or orange or green.
He teased his dog as a kid.
He never went to the prom altho his sister offered to take him more than once.
Is this what it has come to?
Sorry, Folks, You don't like politics. Then stay the hell out of it.
btw I made all those up about Tom (but will probably see them repeated in the coming days, Talk about desperation!), unlike some of Arnold's gems about Clinton should not have been impeached, etc.

none. get a grip. you assume too much.
To: NormsRevenge
Yes, it starting... Contributing to this country is something to be ashamed of. But getting on the dole is something to be celebrated. Somehow I knew the Democrats would release a story trying to discredit Arnold the Immigrant. He's the one not in the Democratic Party.

When Arnold Schwarzenegger allowed his photos and personal information to be published by a body building magazine for a fee, what "services" did he provide?
If Paul McCartney sells a U.S. music fan magazine photos of himself for publication, does Paul McCartney need a U.S. work visa to do so?
If I sell a photo album on eBay to somebody in France, do I need a French work permit?
There are thousands of immigration attornies in the U.S. but only "half a dozen" could be found who would state that this was a visa violation.
