My premise was that the Chicks were left leaning and that they would support Arnold over Tom. I stand by that guess.

Please provide proof that Dixie Chicks, Katie Couric, Matt Lauer, and Alan Colmes have supported Tom.

The Dixie Chicks haven't. . . yet.

But just watch the Today show. Matt Lauer and Katie Couric have repeatedly and unchrateristically been singing the praises of Tom. So has Alan Colmes, on Hannity & Clomes. He even had Geraldine Ferrarro on the other night and they were BOTH saying that conservatives should vote for Tom.

Do you know why? Because Tom can't garner a majority of the moderate votes like Arnold can and they know it. Considering that Democrats vastly outnumber Republicans in California by nearly 1.4 million people you need a candidate with broad appeal that can attract the middle.

Of course it seems that many McClintock supporters are unwilling to come to terms with that fact.
