My husband and I were just talking about this the night of the debate. There's no way the red states are going to let Hillary take over this country -- especially if there is voter fraud in the big cities in the blue states again.

What a shame to have your leaders playing games with you and your country. Is this all they have to do? Make a silly little play of it. The sad part is they never offer solutions; they only blame others. If they do have solutions; what are they and why do they have to hide them in secrecy like Hitlery's health care plan? These are some of the questions the Dims should be asking their party leaders because their tactics of smearing others just ain't getting it anymore.

I believe that the election is likely to be rather thin (I don't know whether razor thin, but rather thin). We are two nations living in one geographical area. We no longer maintain common beliefs, goals, principles or aims. There is nothing left in common between the two major lines of thought, represented very roughly by our political parties.

We are very much as divided, and over a broader range of issues, as the country was prior to the Civil War -- it's just that the geography is not as clear, with the split being largely based on more-urban vs. less-urban areas.

There is half of the population that simply does not believe in the historical America, that is much more attuned with modern euro-socialism than traditional American free enterprise. That half does not believe in the right of nations to defend themselves from "freedom fighters" (terrorists) by taking offensive action. It does not subscribe to the idea of individual responsibility, nor does it wish to protect the freedom of individual action (unless that action relates in some way to sex). It's beliefs revolve around the general ideas of environmentalism, diversity, world citizenship, and the inherent "fairness" of socialist principles.

Because they are so close to half of the population, the days of overwhelming victories (like Reagan's in '84) are gone for the time being (until, perhaps, generational change swings the pendulum the other way, that is the hopeful thought anyway).

there's been PLENTY to be alarmed about for a very long time. And in recent years, it seems to have escalated geometrically.

And a great percentage of even conservatives seem to be clueless about lists of hazards in our era.
