I know there's always a tendency to think of more recent things as "the best", but honestly, I think "Hurt" was one of the top 3 Johnny Cash songs ever. You can't help but be moved if you see the video. Once you see the video, you "get" the song.

Exactly. The first time I saw 'Hurt', I was crying at the end. I think he brought more meaning to that song than did Nine Inch Nails.

"Once you see the video, you "get" the song." First time we saw it, my Husband and I agreed, he's saying goodbye. The final sceen, closing the piano, to me, says it all.
When June Cash passed in May we knew it was only a matter of time before Johnny followed her... seems some couples are just like that.
