Have you ever attended public school and what were your impressions of it if so?

I've never attended public school myself, but I can tell you, public schools are in bad shape. They've stopped focusing on education and more on feelings and self-esteem. I don't believe in making kids feel like a doormat, but please, do your job and teach the kids, will ya?

Do you see any stereotype or prejudices from fellow Freepers due to your age?

No, 98% of the Freepers here don't mind the fact of how young I am…in fact, they're surprised at the fact that I'm 13. The other 2% are worried about me being so young, but that's ok. :)

Where were you when 9/11 happened?

Home. We were starting school, and the first plane hit. We didn't think it was all that important, because it seemed just like an accident. Then the second plane hit and it set in: "Oh my God, we were just attacked".

Excellent interview, 'sonsofliberty2000'! Unbelievable that this young lady is only 13! I hope she stays conservative...we now could be reading posts from a future senator or president!

Howdy yall...I was enjoying a sleep-in day when mom comes in and says "You're on FR headlines". I know ma, let me sleep. (just kidding mom!)

I am 13, making it year by year...or so my parents say. :)

What's your problem? Do you think that only adults can have valid insights and opinions? Youth can bring us refreshing perspective because they don't carry all the garbage of growing up.

I like to encourage youth when they are engaged in constructive learning and discourse. Your comment was un-called for.

Excellent interview! It was a very pleasant surprise. I remember my surprise when I learned that she was a thirteen year old home school student - I admit to being in the crowd that originally thought her to be a middle-age guy!

Seriously, though, 4mycountry is a great addition to the Freeper community. I was only a little disappointed to learn that she wants to do anime voice-over as a career... I had her pegged for a future politician!
