President Bush, joined by First Lady Laura, and Vice President and Mrs. Cheney, observed a moment of silence on the White House lawn this morning to honor the victims of the September 11th, 2001 tragedies. The First Couple began the day with a memorial service at St. John's Episcopal Church, and later in the afternoon visited wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Army hospital. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Why do I think that if Beelzebubba was prez, there would be a photo of him and Hitlery alone on the WH lawn? How typically generous of GWB to include all of the WH staff in this remembrance - to call attention to the moment and not to himself.
Today of all days, O Lord, save us from Democrats who can turn a blind eye to the blood of our people in the streets and who would deliver us to our enemies in the name of peace.

Thank you for the wonderful photos - especially these from 2001. I especially am attracted to the Paul J. Richards photo (Pic. 7 on post No. 4). There is something about the look in the President's eyes that is just mesmerizing and you know immediately that something horrific has happened.

I wanted to let my freepers friends know that one of my flash tributes,
Two Years in the Life of America was shown today at a service in the Transportation Security Coordination Center (TSCC), Department of Homeland Security. I am truly honored that they showed the piece. But then I thought about the word honor. And it is those people who work in the Dept. of Homeland Defense, as well as our brave soldiers, those who lost their lives two years ago today, those who help protect our country against terrorism, and our strong President who deserve the honor.
To my friends at the DoHS, thank you for working to protect the homeland. God bless you all.

NEVER FORGET.
NEVER AGAIN.
LET'S ROLL!
"Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated."
Fellow citizens, we'll meet violence with patient justice -- assured of the rightness of our cause, and confident of the victories to come.
I will not forget this wound to our country or those who inflicted it. I will not yield; I will not rest; I will not relent in waging this struggle for freedom and security for the American people...
President George Walker Bush
September 20, 2001
As we remember September 11, 2001, we reaffirm the vows made in the earliest hours of our grief and anger. As liberty's home and defender, America will not tire, will not falter, and will not fail in fighting for the safety and security of the American people and a world free from terrorism. We will continue to bring our enemies to justice or bring justice to them. This Patriot Day, we hold steady to this task.
