You know Doyle will Veto it, but can we override the veto?,after the property-tax freeze I have my doubts.
The numbers will be -almost- there to do an override. Remember that the Democrats in the rural north of the state do tend to be pro-gun. The rumor that I have heard is that Doyle will not veto if there it passes by a lot. But he won't sign it either. I think the law is such that if he lets it sit on his desk for 30 days, it's a defacto signature, and the bill would become law. So Doyle wouldn't get the wrath of the NRA, nor the wrath of the liberals.
