PROP 54 CAMPAIGN CHAIR WARD CONNERLY ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF FIRST YES ON PROP 54 RADIO AD TO AIR IN LOS ANGELES, SACRAMENTO
SACRAMENTO, CALIF.--Ward Connerly, chairman of the Yes on Proposition 54 campaign, announced today that the campaign will begin airing its first radio advertisement on Thursday, September 11. The 60-second ad will air in Los Angeles and Sacramento.
The opposition plans to unleash a Goliath-sized horde of money to spread falsehoods about Prop 54, said Mr. Connerly. We may be outspent, but we have the truth on our side. This ad is just one small step in getting the truth out.
Prop 54, which will appear on the October 7 gubernatorial recall ballot, will bar the state and all local California governments from classifying individuals by race in the areas of public education, employment, contracting and most other government operations. Reasonable exemptions exist for medical research subjects and patients, racial classifications required by federal law or for federal funds and certain activities of law enforcement. The state legislature, by a two-thirds vote and with the governors approval, can vote to exempt any other reasonable area. Also, the Department of Fair Housing and Employment will receive a 10-year sun-setting exemption.
The full text of the ad follows below. Any members of the media receiving this press release electronically will find an mp3 file of the radio ad attached; if problems receiving or opening the file occur please contact the Yes on Prop 54 office. PROP 54 RADIO AD

Ive known and served with Cruz Bustamante for five years. Cruz supports race preferences. I dont. Cruz supports racially separate graduation ceremonies. I dont. Cruz embraces racially separate organizations. I dont.
Im Ward Connerly, chairman of Yes on Proposition 54, and I believe in a color-blind government. Cruz doesnt. Cruz wants to spend over four million dollars that he improperly received from Indian tribe gambling to oppose Proposition 54. And to say that the initiative poses a threat to our health, despite the very clear exemption for medical care in Proposition 54. Three months ago Cruz pledged that he would not appear on the recall ballot. Now hes on it. Do you really want to believe what Cruz Bustamante tells you about Proposition 54? Or are you tired of racial and ethnic politics and want to send the politicians a message to knock it off? If so, vote yes on Proposition 54 and get rid of the race boxes.

On another score, and remembering today, 9-11; I overhead a conversation yesterday between 3 men at lunch. One man asserted that if the US&Coalition could take out the ringerleaders of mid-east tyranny, all could be well if not better in the Jewish/Palestinian conflict. The three men were silent for about a moment, until another of the three spoke up and said: Getting the ringleaders is only a start; but not the end. Palestinian children are taught even before age 7 that Jews and Americans are evil and should be "truncated". By age 7. What are these children are taught by age 10? 13? 18? 21?
I had been musing Prop 54 while this conversation was taking place, and I thought yes, Prop 54 is more than just the beginning of ending the hate and segregation in California -- it has to do with halting race baiting and institutionalized and ideologic racism -- from the get-go; at birth, at day-care, in kindergarten and first-grade and on up.
Parallels in the Universe never cease show me truth and wisdom. If you could send a wee contribution to Prop 54 campaign, it would be more than appreciated.
As to Grayout, he is doing lots these days. Rushing appointments to friends and contributors, paying off Mercury Insurance for a $25,000 contribution and generally acting like the 'Toons in the final days of their reign of pseudogovernance and chronic corruption. Let me know if you want to get flagged on some of the articles...
