I am not a huge arnold fan but you guys keep thinking that this is about who you will invite to dinner. Or who will be the next minister in your church. This is a battle, you defend and then you hit hit hit.... you keep taking your nicest guy and putting him on the front line and he gets wiped out each time. This time send in Mongo... let him clear the room... then while he is busy you plan your move..... Tell me something....
How did an unknown like Newt Gengrich win the house after years of democrap control? You guys need to study John Boyds OODA loop theory... then you will understand
To: Dan from Michigan
McClintock hasn't LOST anything outside of a stupid poll. John Engler was getting crushed in the polls before his first election. He won.
No fair bringing up facts.

WHY DID DAVIS WANT SIMON...?
Hypothetical question here... if we had supported RINO Riordon, would we be dealing with a DL/votes for illegal aliens crisis... the budget crisis.... or a recall at all?

Dig this, I HAVE a 'Rat Governor precisely because I HAD a RINO Governor. This is all you get when you elect a RINO Governor. You gain nothing with them and you lose EVERYTHING in the end. With RINO Governors, there are no baby steps towards making the GOP more competitive or any movement at all towards Conservatism, just gigantic leaps towards liberalism, the 'Rat agenda, and MORE 'Rat elected officials. Is that clear enough ?
You're leaving a lot out of your analogy. Sundquist RAN as a conservative, even governed as one for a while. Then somebody at the TEA must of found pictures of him in bed with little boys or something, I don't know. He BECAME a RINO.
He ran as a conservative, becasue TN is as conservative as Cali is liberal (pay attention now, son...) The ONLY way you can win in TN is running as an anti-liberal (like Lincoln Davis did).
Arnold, on the other hand is NOT running as a conservative. That would be like Bredesen running as a Ted Kennedy liberal.
You can only win in a state that tilts heavily to one side by running on that side or as a moderate!!!!
Take Tennessee, turn it upside down, and understand why in Tennesse a RINO is a treachery, but in Cali, it's a vast improvement.
To: B Knotts
And that can't come soon enough. That cross-dressing 'RAT Scum Parsky deserves a one-way trip to Pyongyang. Anyone who did to the CA GOP what he did last year deserves nothing less.

Instead of crying in a river about dropping outta race, why not Ahnold go out and EARN the votes of those that would back McClintock(Or even Cruz for that matter). On the same note, McClintock should do the same. If Ahnold(or McClintock) can't win the race unless someone else drops out, that person deserved to lose anyway. Nobody is ENTITLED to votes.
You know, it's funny... I remember when I was first voting, and chatting with my parents and some of their friends about the whole political process. One thing they all agreed on, regardless of party... "If you don't vote, you've got no grounds to complain." None of them presumed to dictate me how I should vote, they simply made clear that if I wanted a seat at the table, I had to exercise my franchise. Now, strangers take froth at the mouth if I vote for a different Republican than they'd like. Funny.

>>>You've been posting the same adamant anti-Arnold garbage since he first announced, insisting that Arnold hadn't come out with any conservative positions. Well, he's come out with a far-enough conservative platform to earn a slew of highly respectable conservative endorsements. It's not garbage! It's the truth! You've never been able to dispute one thing I've listed. Not one!
If you and the other "Arnoldnauts" want to set aside your conservative and/or Republican principles, to vote for a liberal like Arnold Schwarzenegger, go for it. Just don't attempt to fool other people into thinking, all conservatives and Republicans are as frivolous and naive as you are. You guys aren't debating the real facts. You're so infatuated with the personal personna of the pop cult icon called Arnold, you've lost all touch with reality.
Good luck, you need it.

Great question but if we had elected riordon he would have died in office from a stroke and we would have had Bustamonte anyway.
To: truthkeeper
I've said my piece. I'll leave you now to your mean and nasty business and your mean and nasty people.
Adios!
By the way, it's not my mean and nasty business or my mean and nasty people. It's hard knuckled politics. Which is pretty mild compared to the past. Check out American politics in the 19th and 20th centuries. Violence and murder. At least we don't see duels anymore.
The Democrats get it. Some of the contemporary Democrats would likely fit right in at Tammany Hall. The Clinton's certainly would. Unfortunately many Republicans are simply just too damn nice. By the way, one of the BIG dynamics to this California mess was the passage of the drivers license bill and Davis signing it. This was all done, of course, for Bill and Hillary Clinton. Why? Motor Voter. It took a decade but they got it passed in "Kali-Fornia". Which was their main target.
American politics is mostly mean and nasty. I wish it was different. But until the left is defeated that's the way it will be.

I'm an idiot. That partial transcript in post #213 is from an August H&C interview!
To: Reagan Man
Yes, I know... Arnold is just a RINO... I think I've heard that somewhere before.
Your hero Reagan was a Dem for years, tolerated gays in his circle of friends and home, signed a significant abortion bill for California, signed a gun law, too, right?
Given the folks claiming to stand for "principles" around here, Reagan would have been recalled himself by "true conservatives" before he ever had a chance to run for the White House.
Keep enjoying your own reality...
