I am not at all in favor of cruelty to pets, but their owners should *not* allow them to run around free. I happen to like birds. Cats kill birds, so I don't like it when I see cats running around the neighborhood.
As macbre as it may seem, perhaps incidents like this will serve as a warning to other pet owners. It is the wrong way to go about it, but I don't know the right way.
There is a man who lives behind me who leaves his dog outside in all weather conditions and at all times. It barks and it howls. People have complained to him, but he does nothing. It has crossed my mind to kill it. I'm not going to, but the thought has entered my mind.
What I would really like to do is to torch his house. I'm not going to do that either. Still, somehow, this guy needs to get the message.

I've been on some series cat bashing (no pun intended) threads on FR.
If I can catch those three that are killing the birds in my yard, they too stand a good chance of going to the great litter box in the sky.
But I won't nail them to a board and paint them.

Barking dogs drive me nuts. Here in Sacramento, you can call the Police on him for his dog disturbing the peace after 10:00pm. Don't think about hurting the dog, that's what dogs do, they bark, now the owner's another story...

Even if you were to "kill it" (which I hope you do not do) you wouldn't freaking TORTURE it like these freaks did to the cat.
10 to one it was done by illegals who worship satan. They killed some american kids a few years back and ate their brains - oops, sorry Carlos Rove, I know these are "natural republicans" streaming over our borders to make two bucks an hour...
