Good morning Calpernia! I am very sorry to hear that you weren't able to fix the patition problem without the wipe-of-death! LOL You sound very competent with computers. Mine is in the repair shop at this very moment, getting a new hard drive. And my treasured FR zip disk sits on my computer table, messed up beyond repair, but I'm too sad about it to do the neccessary reformat wiping it clean. :( LOL
