ORANGE -- At Monday's premiere of what he's calling the "Ask Arnold Show," Arnold Schwarzenegger charmed a handpicked audience at Chapman University.
The wife of the Republican gubernatorial candidate fared worse at a Sacramento Wal-Mart, however, where dueling protests overshadowed her effort to register voters for the Oct. 7 recall election.

Schwarzenegger criticized Davis for signing a bill granting driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants, saying, "We're leaving ourselves wide open to terrorism." And he repeated his support for a guest-worker visa program -- "then they can (get) driver's licenses hooked together with insurance."

I think this explains the amnesty flip flops. He's settled on calling it "guest workers", in lieu of amnesty.

"He never said what he was going to be cutting to reduce the deficit," said Jade Openshaw, 23. "And what is he going to do to cut workers' comp? You need a specific plan." Arnold: "Plan, plan, who needs a plan! I don't need no dang plan, my handlers just need to give me a script. Then its lights, camera, action, as I turn Sacramento into a movie lot, where we just pretend to solve the states problems. And of course, I blow up the Dems with a big bomb if they don't listen to the director."

Schwarzenegger said he could build bipartisan support for his programs -- as he did for Proposition 49, the after-school program that passed with 57 percent of the vote.So he can get 57 percent--can he do this?

I am for Arnold (although I don`t get to vote in Califorina) for one very strange reason:
I think he could play a huge role in helping to smooth out our relationship with Europe.
He speaks German. 120 million of the 300 million Europeans speak or understand German. That is more than understand English. I have heard him speak German (yes he does interviews with Austrian and German TV stations on occassion)and IMHO he is a much better and more convincing speaker in his native tongue.
He would be very helpful indeed.
