Everything is gang related in the Valley... even the richest kids get into gangs. The point is, in Taft!?! It is more likely a Mexican or a White kid with a gun... I'm guessing White because Mexicans generally don't pull guns at school.

I went to Taft high. It's in an upscale white neighborhood but the kids are bussed in and are black and hispanic.

Deny it if you will, but the vast majority of gangs in L.A. are black and Latino. So his speculation, although perhaps a bit premature, is not completely unfounded.

Perhaps it was unwise to fling the dual slurs, but it's a valid sarcastic commentary on the police's tendency to label alleged perps under those two headings.
