Democrats can't fight a war, they can't govern even during times of peace, and increasingly, they can't even stay focused on the issues at hand.

Democrats are very good, however, at expressing their visceral hatred of George W. Bush. Not a sufficiently valid reason to entrust them with legislative or executive power.

I pointed out Dean's notorious anti-Semitism elsewhere on this thread, several days ago; and was tut-tutted by some, on the spurious grounds that "Dean's wife is, after all, of Jewish ancestry."

My response now, as then: research the well-known societal phenomenon of "Jewish self-loathing."

Several Democrats predicted Dean would pay a political price for his remarks. Democratic candidates receive a significant amount of money and support from the Jewish community. It would be hard for any Democrat considered unsympathetic toward Israel by Jewish leaders to win the nomination, several party strategists said.
