I would NOT want to be the person who ordered that driver to drive across the runway.

The next words out of the drivers mouth will be "You want fries with that?"

Whoa, that's some words you never want to hear recorded on the ATC audiotape..."XXXX Tower, Air Force One going missed approach!"
Betcha that clogged the local airspace up pretty good as well. I wonder how big a "safe zone" they establish when AF1 is coming in to an airport?

"XXXX Tower, Air Force One going missed approach!" Followed by the sound of 10 ATC controllers puckering at once.

It was a good call by the tower.
Took some stones to do.
Now about the driver of that limo . . .

A go-around that delayed the flight 3 minutes? Har to believe a 747 can do a fly around and land with only a 3 minute delay. Was W. flying another fighter jet by chance?

Heck, it took me a full 5 minutes or so to do a touch and go pattern with a Tiger - and the pattern altitude was 650 feet!
I'd give the 747 missed approach about 12 minutes so so...

The tower controller did good. He should be commended for being alert. That could just as easily have been a car load of bearded men named Mohammed holding stinger missiles or RPGs. No vehicle should be parked near the runway without the permission of the tower.
Besides, those AF-1 pilots could probably use some go-around practice anyway.
