Harrison Ford, a friend of Polanski...That was all I needed to hear. I am NEVER watching another Harrison Ford movie again.

Ford is against Bush. I'm sure he would vote Bubba back in office, if Bubba was allowed to run again.

The girl was 14, as was Juliet when having her affair with Romeo. Girls used to marry at 14; that simply is not the same thing as "child-rape".

Recently Ford was bashing Bush and current American foreign policy (especially Iraq). I'm surprised that it took this article for you to say that. I haven't seen a new Ford movie since Patriot Games in 1993 (?).

A picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks.
It's one thing to find yourself working together with some undesirable in the workplace (we've all been there), but it's quite another to help deliver his Acadamy Award, because he can't return to U.S. without going to jail. Ford is a major loser; I have definately no time to waste on another movie of his. So long to another hollyweirdo.

The Pianist blew chunks. What a horrible, smarmy, shockingly stupid movie.

Hm. I can't really understand why conservatives are always so "shocked" that Hollywood is full of perverted liberals. It's been the case pretty much from the start--try reading a bio of Chaplin or Keaton.

Polansky's escapade can almost be considered "mild" when compared to some of the other of Tinseltown's criminal escapades.
Simply, Polansky is a despicable person who has made some fine films. Polansky like Ford and other self styled "artistes" have always gotten a free pass from the media and even the public when it comes to morals charges.

I really didn't think people could be so dumb.

Harrison Ford's girl friend is about the same age as the girl who Roman Polanski raped is now.

Bottom line is, despite what Polanski did in the past, he deserved the award. The Pianist was an incredible movie, and I don't know if anyone short of Wajda could have pulled it off as well as Polanski did.
