Poor man. Does not sound good - probably a stroke or a heart attack.
I don't care if he's a Dem or a Lib or a blinking Communist, he's on the verge of meeting his Maker and we should all pray for him.

OK I'll ask the other truly insensitive question:
Is the Lt. Governor a democrat or a republican?
To: Republican Red
Dem. In Indiana, we elect a ticket, just like in the presidential election.

Just because there's snow on the rooftop, it doesn't mean the fire's out in the furnace. Remember that when you're his age; you'll enjoy life more.

"My thoughts exactly. If he's a democrat, I can offer up a perfectly plausible explanation on what he might have been doing in a hotel room that could cause him to collapse ;)..."
Yeah, me too. He was participating in a business conference at the Palmer House hotel. What did you mean?

I was thinking the same thing myself--if O'Bannon is unconscious, the only person who could authorize the release of info would be his wife.
The news reports said that Mrs. O'Bannon is on her way to the hospital. It sounds like she needs to get there fast.

The governor was attending the U.S. Midwest Japanese Conference in the Empire Room at the hotel at the time of his collapse.I think you all are missing this little fact. He was attending a meeting at the time of his collapse, not porking an intern...

Regardless of the jerks on this thread, O'Bannon is a nice guy and should be prayed for. He was conducting the business of the State of Indiana, and if he dies he will be mourned by many in the state.
Despite his politics, he is a decent man. He is an old-style democrat from Southern Indiana, and would be missed.
To: Catspaw
Latest MSNBC report is that he has not regained consciousness as of yet.
Indiana State reviewing procedures for "transfer of power" although nothing has officially been initiated at this time.
Not sounding very good.

Amen.

Prayers for the governor and his family, regardless. What is remarkable is that I really think you would be FLAMED for such comments on "DU" if the Gov. was a Republican. Tht is how evil leftists are.
To: Miss Marple
Thank you Miss Marple, you are correct about Govenor O'Bannon, I live in Indiana and I am very concerned about the condition of the Govenor. I am assuming that due to HIPPA regulations they cannot release any details about the Govenor until his wife gives permission to do so. I am in prayer for Govenor and Mrs. O'Bannon.
