We're already $598 billion in the hole for this year... Another $87 billion on top of that?

Does this man have any concept of money whatsoever?

Short answer? No. I heard it on Fox right before he started to talk, something around 60 billion for day to day operations and another 20 billion for something else. But who cares? It's just 'paperwork' to the administration now. God only knows how we're going to pay for it...

Sure, he also has the concept of Americans jumping out of windows from the 87th floor down pat and the trillion dollar hit the economy took from 9/11.

The CIC has drawn the jihadists into the free fire zone of Iraq and you want us to quit and run now? Kill'em all and if it costs money to do that, that's the price we pay.

Hopefully, in his next budget he will spend some more by re-establishing two of the lost divisions that the Army requires.

Well, remember one thing...these deficits are the cheapest in American history at current interest rates. I just wish we could invest the $90 billion in new weapons systems rather than waste it on ungrateful diaperheads.

With enough work and a bit of luck, he'll be the first President ever to achieve a trillion dollar deficit in one year.

No. Ain't never had to balance his own checkbook. Why should it be a surprise that he spends our money like a drunken sailor?

I think I heard a collective 'thud' across America When Bush said 87 BILLION. He just sealed his own fate in '04.

BZZZZZZZT! Wrong-o. This supplemental was anticipated and included in the Pentagon budget (although don't expect to hear this from the 'Rats or the press -- couldna happen, you know, because there was "no planning") at which time it was estimated to be $79 billion. So the addition to the deficit is $8 billion, not 87.
