This Yankee (and her husband and sons) LOVED Gods and Generals......three times......

I'm going to give it some time. She's got a big birthday coming up in a few days (maybe not The biggest, as her grandmother is almost 103 and going strong) and is a bit too emotional right now.

Yeah.......I would agree that you need to be strong emotionally to be able to handle it, but I definitely recommend taking her to see it.

There are such strong human interest and spiritual components, that I would think that even women who don't particularly like 'war movies' would like it.

(I LOVE war movies.......if they don't get too graphic......)
