He is a good man, a very good man. That just bears repeating. again and again!
To: cajungirl
Agreed re Carter. We're in the mess with N. Korea because of him. And the Panama Canal giveaway. And the Iranian hostage crisis. NOT a good man at all. An ignorant, hate-America first man.

Our economy must be ready to drop dead in its tracks if he wants to borrow and spend that much to keep the GDP positive.Oh, and here I thought the economy was busting at the seams..

Bush talks about how the US must engage the enemy where it plans and operates before it reaches home, yet he doesn't allow Israel to do the same to the terrorists it faces (which hate the US as well).
He talks about doing a series of precise strikes against terrorists and where they operate, yet the US administration criticizes Israel when it does the same
He talks about raids on ammunition dumps and the killing of terrorists, yet he pressures Israel to negotiate with those very same terrorists
He talks about the soldiers and that they will hunt down those terrorists who seek to kill them , yet he doesn't want the IDF to do the same, specifically to go get Yasser Arafat, a terrorist responsible for many IDF soldier deaths.

One more 9/11 or bigger attack and there won't be ANY domestic programs to worry about.Boy, that's no lie.
To: TalentOnLoan
Hehehehe I thought it was a lamp and a frying pan.
Oh. I forgot. She "employes" domestic assistance for those things.

Joe Biden: 'Bush has made a real U-turn, taking Powell's approach instead of that of the neo-conservatives. Bush leveled with the American people tonight.' Please post a barf alert on these sorts of comments in the future. heh heh This President has been straight with the American people from the beginning on what the WOT was going to take.

LOL! I saw her sideways the other day and noted that she's really put the pounds on in the belly region.

You know, watching this speech, made me realize that we as a country, were very, very lucky to make it through the 8 yrs. of the Clintons!!.
To: cajungirl
You're right about Jimmy...he was universally disliked in Washington for being just that...a mean, vicious little man. My Dad knew one of his Assistant/Adivors (I'm not sure what her title was) and she told some doozy stories. But the myth will carry on that he was/is a saintly fellow. What can you do?

I think when he was President he was generally a good man. Now I'm not saying he's still the same man after 20+ years. Maybe he changed, but if your only evidence of 'hating' this nation of states is his questioning of the Bush/PNAC foreign policy, then you're going to have to bring more than that.

Ah,from whom did Biden plagerize that statement?
To: carton253
What is with Mara Liason? Is reality so jaded in Washington... She turns herself inside out to stick with the dimms' talking points. Sometimes she just sounds stupid.
To: Cboldt
LOL, a joke right?
To: cajungirl

It occurs to me that, if the speech was much longer, there would have to be a "Democrat Response." Keeping them short makes for pretty neat strategery, eh?

Really, where was Biden getting off on that comment? Bush didn't say ANYTHING differently tonight than he's ever said about the war in Iraq or the war on terrorism.
