I know him, I know how meaningless he is and I'd rather sit out the election than vote for a corrupt liar. What we have here is someone who's ego has been bruised because he didn't get what he wanted. I know George personally and you, my friend, are sounding like someone who has an agenda based on far more than a broken promise.
We who worked for George in '94 were very disappointed that he chose to run. But we talked to him about it, he told us why, and we accepted his reasons. Then we got over it.
He chose to run for a fourth term knowing he would be ridiculed nationally for his choice but he thought it was the best thing to do for his district. That he now has put his entire political career in the balance of this run for the senate proves he wants to do what's best for his constituents instead of becoming the entrenched careerist that Foley was. He does have a safe seat in the House, as you well know.
It could be that you're optical nerve is being pinched by your sphincter muscle causing you a crappy outlook on life...:)

We eat our own!!!! and you must be very full!!!!
Where is it written - "agree with everything the party or a candidate says" unless of course you are a Democrat.
A non vote is a Perot vote. You can talk yourself into any reason not to vote for Nethercut. But the fact is - you are either a Republican or a Democrat. There is such a basic difference between the two candidates and the two parties. And it has nothing to do with Murray's feelings for Clinton.
Check out posts 41 & 43 & 44 and think about it.

I've just returned to Washington. Like a good Democrate I'll vote for Arnold in California, and then switch to Washington registration so I can vote here...If I were dead and a Democrate I could vote in both states.
As to George, the same rules apply as in California. VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE THAT CAN WIN

Sorry you are WRONG!!!!!!
I cannot fathom such thinking it is to give up before the game, a forfiet if you will.
Don't send that letter you will only embarass yourself.
I do share your fustration but this is not going to help at all.
It would make more sense if he were an incumbant but he is not!

The best place for 'term limits' is the ballot box!!! George Nethercutt's mistake was making the pledge. ( in IMHO)
It will be a battle to upseat Murray. You know the Hillary Clinton will be out in force - all of her!!!

What did he do, aside from proving he cannot be trusted, in that fourth term? What was worth his integrity?
As for your comments regarding him meeting with you, he locks people out of his office, he refuses to meet with critics, so you clearly have never had the 'nads to disagree with him.
He is a liar, a proven liar, a politician who has demonstrated his word is meaningless. You work for him, I won't.

When the GOP starts showing honesty and integrity in the person of the candidates offered, they will get my vote. Liars and baby killers will never get my vote.

Please go join another party. Please. Find one that actually accomplishes your goals.
Let us know when you find that one. I doubt we'll ever be hearing from you, though.

That's a cop-out, and you know it.
Fine. The party doesn't deserve you. Unless you run for office yourself, you're just making excuses. You don't vote anyway, so of what relevance is your opinion? Your opinion doesn't count. Your vote does.
Why am I bothering to discuss anything with someone that doesn't even bother to vote?? Yeesh. What a waste of time.

Does anyone know for sure that this Clint Williams lives in Washington State?
I checked his profile page. No flag is flying, no profile, and he is not listed on the list of Washington Freepers.

He is on the Washington State Ping list and has been for quite some time.
For that to happen he must have been in the WA State Local or asked to be on the list.

"And Patty Murray is preferable to a RINO?"
Once again, another AGAINST vote rather than a positive vote. I vote FOR people. To answer your question, it makes absolutly no difference other than approaches that give us the same result. Different names, Different approaches, Same results.
There is only one party with a different initial after their name(s). I am fed up with Pretend conservatives. They will never ever get my vote again. I'm voting for McClintock come Hell or High water.

"But the main problem with this mantra is that the definition of a RINO has become "any Republican who does not agree with me 100% on every issue, and succeed in pushing through 100% of the GOP agenda as I personally declare it to be.""
Excuse me, you are wrong! I Insist on the people I vote for to honor their sworn oaths to uphold the Constitution! Anything else in between is negotiable as respects policy(s) I don't insist on 100%, but, any voting record less than 75% based on Conservative principles loses my vote. If a politician I voted for casts his/her vote for an obscenity k/a "patriot" act loses my future vote(s). Any politician I voted for who casts his/her vote for a monstrosity k/a the campaign finance reform (a/k/a The Incumbent Protection Act)loses my future vote(s). Any Party that takes part in such obscenities loses my future vote(s).
YOUR modern republican party is nothing more than Democrat Lite.

I agree with your take on Nethercutt's decision to run again, Snardius. (LOL your name) Clint, big guy, you need to take a breath, re-energize and get back in the game. Death will come soon enough, you might as well have some fun fighting against wrong while you're here. :) Thanks for the ping, Cyber!

YOUR modern republican party is nothing more than Democrat LiteWell, I have a novel idea. How about we all work together to FIX that. Or is that too much work? It's easier to turn off, tune out etc...?
