Media Employment Report Cover-up: 150,000 New Jobs Added August

The press has been saturated since Friday morning with misleading reports claiming that the number of jobs held by Americans declined by nearly 100,000 in August. However, the actual jobs statistic used by the Labor Department to measure the unemployment rate showed just the opposite - with the economy adding almost 150,000 new jobs.

Dear tkathy,
There is a difference between weapons and guns. Since this is somewhat of a "Family" site I really can not go into it here. But I do understand your lack of knowledge concerning this issue having seen neither.

Bush isn't perfect, but a 666 Democrat is a hell of a lot worse.

How about 333 Bush vs. @ 111 'RAT (hypothetical question, I don't think one exist)

George Bush is a Republican?

It appears that you haven't gotten the chip implant yet. Don't worry after today they'll bump us both up on the list.
LOL

You forgot the part about how we'd have socialized medicine for prescription drugs and we'd be sending billions of dollars to corrupt African dictators to "fight AIDS."

Sadly, so would voting Bush.

Can you really name any domestic policies where they're that different?

It's all about votes. If you don't win, you lose; there is no in-between.

Yes. He's puting them in the hands of the private sector. That would be us.
Democrats would put them in the hands of other government officials.
I'm conservative/conservative.
I'm not conservative/ liberal.
That's why voting libertarian could never cross my mind, nor would I ever endorse it.

There is no such theing as a True Conservative, but there are real Clinton Conservatives. We heard from them in '92.

OK, I'll explain myself. First of all, voting for a 3rd-party conservative should not be compared with voting for Perot. Perot was not a conservative, so his vote total did not have any effect on what was perceived to be the popular will. As a result, Clinton was left with a largely free hand. Voting for a conservative, by contrast, even if it causes Bush to lose, will make it clear to whoever wins that the country is conservative and demands conservative performance. And of course, if Bush wins, it'll serve as an important shot across his bow.

The other thing to keep in mind is that Bush has actually accelerated the growth of big-government socialism (even before 9/11). This is because when Republicans are in power, conservatives don't keep as sharp an eye on them as when Democrats are in power. So the difference between a D administration and an R administration is not as drastic as you may think.

And in any case, nothing good comes without risk. Playing it "safe" will get us nowhere.
