The operation they are refering to is the killing of a Hamas terrorist leader by IDF troops.
When will they understand that Israel's war on terrorism is the war on terrorism the US fights? Didn't 9/11/01 make that clear? The Bush administration continues to practice a policy which condmens its ally in the war on terrorism and tells Israel not to do things the US itself prides in doing as right. The only way to have peace is a victory by Israel over the Palestinian Authority terrorist regime and the other terrorist groups operating under its auspices.

Well of course, it offended the Saudis.

find different way to move forward The IDF hasn't tried carpet bombing yet. That is a different way to move forward.

Oil.... It's all about the oil. if the rest of the Middle East did not control the world's oil supply, we wouldn't care who Israel pissed off.

I'm now convinced that the Middle East section of State is a fully paid for agent of influence of Saudi Arabia. I would love to know how many former employees from this group have received jobs or consulting money from the sheiks. It's being going on for decades. Why doesn't someone do an in-depth investigation?

The time has come for every American who wants to see the spread of terrorism and the attack on freedom and Judeo-Christian traditions and values to stop to stand up and let President Bush and his administration know how you feel. Write, e-mail, call, send a telegram, or communicate in whatever way you feel comfortable with. Tell the administration:
1. Place the blame for the failure of the "Road Map" peace plan where it belongs in a public amd forthright manner. It is time for the U.S. government to place blame on a Palestinian "Authority" which refuses to take any sort of authority for the people or territory they control, and who condone and encourage terrorism.
2. Make it clear that NO justification ever exists for acts like those committed by Hamas: blowing up a bus in Jerusalem carrying families returning from worship at Judaism's holiest site. The dead and maimed children were not combatants. Blowing up innocents is not "resistance". It is murder.
3. Encourage, rather than discourage, Israel from doing it's part in the War on Terrorism. Allow Prime Minister Sharon to let the IDF do everything and anything necessary to eliminate Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and their ilk once and for all.
4. Stop defending Yasser Arafat, the terrorist in charge. Allow the IDF to arrest or expell him. Yasser Arafat remains an obstacle to any hope for peace in the future.
5. Encourage, rather than discourage, the Israeli government in regard to the construction of the security fence. Any government's primary responsibility is to protect it's citizens. That is the sole purpose of the fence: to protect Israelis from Palestinian terrorist attack.
6. Stop supporting Arab governments who support terrorism and calling them "allies".
7. Seriously review U.S. involvement in, and hosting of, the United Nations. With it's human rights organization led by Libya, it's "security council" led by Syria, and with nations who clearly place their commercial interests with the old Baathist Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq and an Iranian regime bent on obtaining nuclear weapons ahead of freedom, peace, and world security having a veto on the so-called "security council" (yes, I mean France and Russia), the United Nations has become inimicable to American interests and values.
8. Move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, as promised by President Bush in his campaign and as called for by Congress.
The time has come for everyone in the world who values freedom, democracy, and human rights to stand up and be counted.

I will also add to #4 that the US should view the Palestinian Authority as a terrorist regime, which must be eliminated like the rest of the terror groups, and whose offices we allow open in Washington DC must be closed.

If this is Bush's actual belief, he's not fit to be President. I don't believe it is.

I have written hundreds of emails, letters, etc. to my congressmen, the President, and State with all of the points that you mention. I know that they are not paid attention to, but at least someone has to read them (unless my address is blocked)
