We need the Coulter rule invoked here. No posts about weapons without pictures.

I'm a .45 man myself.

Nice looking weapon. What's the pricetag?

Beautiful. It looks very close to my stainless officer's 45 acp, but with double action, a little safer than cocked and locked. My 45 has a pachmayer spring and follower in the magazine that gives me a 7 + 1 capacity also. If this new one shoots like mine, it's a great gun. I'll have to check one out. Thanks for the post.

Saw one locally (RI) for $759.

Not cheap, but not totally out of sight either. Looks and sounds like it's worth the money.

I handled it and looked it over.
I love to go to the gun shop:)
Looked like a nice piece of equipment.
Imagine it would hold up well.
Very well made, IMHO.
Managed to put it back and avoid becomming a messy pulp should the lovely Mrs
Gillman@blacklagoon.com have caught
me buying "another" pistol.
I only just barely made it out without buying a Thompson 1927A1 W 4 mags and a violin case to carry it for about a hundred bucks more.
Maybe I could have claimed I was planning to take music lessons.

Several years ago I built up a Para P14-45, not unlike this one from a frame which my local gun shop was selling.
I used a Caspian slide, a Bar-Sto non-ramped barrel with some other custom features. The P14-45 is a double-stack .45 ACP. The original magazines held 14 rounds, hence it nomenclature. I used rosewood grips which makes the gun a little wider than the Glock 21. Its a little too big for all-day concealed carry, but its a nice shooter.

Concealed Carry Weapon
To: 45Auto
Anyone who carries--and effectively conceals--a powerful handgun discovers one thing almost immediately: The butt is the hardest part to hide. Man, ain't this the truth! I've tried everything - pantyhose, extra-tight jeans, long jackets, you name it. I'm afraid that diet and exercise is the only answ...
Oh. They were talking about the gun. Never mind.
There is a problem with cutting down the butt in pursuit of concealability - with both the Glock minis and my treasured Kahr Covert. the corner of the butt hits my palm at a rather sensitive spot, sensitive after about 50 rounds, that is. No problem in a self-defense scenario, of course, but practicing is a bit of a pain. I'm using a bicycle glove at the moment but there's an element of artificiality there. Extended-grip mags obviate the reason you bought the smaller butt in the first place.
.45s this small tend to be a bit of a handful, IMHO. But if you need it there's nothing like having a large, ugly chunk of lead to throw at the bad guys whilst you vamoose...

My wife and I were at the local Emporium of Fine Firearms. She handled a Para Carry. She now wants one to supplement her two Kimbers.....

That M-1 makes me drool...but I don't think I could stuff one down my pants and walk, much less conceal it...

There's something sick and wrong with a DAO 1911 ;o)
I think it's a neat concept but at 34 ounces unloaded it seems it would be a drag...literally...
