Gray governor Davis would subscribe it in Los Angeles; he will enter to govern in January of 2004 Waters Victory Correspondent of the Opinion SACRAMENT, California? The law that would grant licenses to lead to about two million undocumented people in California will be signed today Friday by Gray governor Davis, according to informed yesterday the office into senator Gil Cedillo, author and main impeller of the measurement. The office of the senator detailed that the company/signature of initiative SB60 will be made today, to six of afternoon, in the office of the Department of Vehicles of California (DMV) located in Lincoln Park, in Los Angeles. Governing Davis had promised does several weeks that she would sign the law as soon as she had it in his writing-desk. The measurement received the endorsement of the state Assembly Tuesday and the Senate did own Wednesday. Slips? In spite of to be approved by the Legislature, and to count on the support of same Davis, the law proposal that would grant licenses to lead to million undocumented immigrants, could face a new obstacle, this time of the republican aspiring to the gubernatura, Arnold Schwarzenegger. And it is that the actor assured that if leaves triunfador in the election of destitution of next the 7 October, will direct the fight to?revocar and to stop? the implementation of the SB60.?Soy pro immigrant, Schwarzenegger in a press official notice said. (the government) does not have to invite the fraud nor to debilitate the work of the police authorities. problem with the SB60 is that it is lent to that identity fraud is committed, as well as electoral fraud, and the candidate is against this, it said to Juan Wineskin maker, spokesman of the campaign of Schwarzenegger, to the Opinion. The author of the measurement, senator Gil Cedillo, responded in exclusive right to this subject. mentality (of Schwarzenegger) reflects little prepared that the?Terminator? it is for leading this state, and the little interest that has towards the subjects of importance for our community, the democrat of Los Angeles declared. Also, Cedillo, that the last year retired its support towards Davis during the general elections, now was declared like one of his more defending faithfuls, being urgent to the Latin electorate to vote against the destitution. only way to protect to the SB60 is to allow that Davis follows like governor, it concluded Cedillo. The last year, the governor vetoed measurement AB60, a much more restrictive version that the SB60, causing that Cedillo, along with the Latin Parliamentary Group, retired their official support towards the re-election of Davis. Critical allege that the governor acceded to sign the east measurement year, once the election to dismiss it became a fact. easy to say it, but the reality is that the governor has very been working close by with Cedillo by more of a year making this proposal a reality. Never it was declared against the concept, Russ declared Lopez, spokesman of governing Davis, to the Opinion. that the circumstances had something to see (with the fiance'e it signs of the governor), but also I think that Davis is more open to the necessities of the town, and that occurred to account of that never would occur the ideal circumstances to sign the SB60, Cedillo said. Wineskin maker, on the other hand, said that he does not hope that the position of Schwarzenegger repels in the ballot boxes or with the Latin vote. In addition, he added, the republican supports a migratory reform to legalize to million immigrants, who would occur with the aid of the White House. it?Ese is a subject that no other candidate is touching, but Schwarzenegger thinks that the opportunity is due to give him all person who has been certain time working and living honestly in this country, of being citizen, Wineskin maker said. Also he added that the only democratic candidate in the voting ticket, the lieutenant governor Bustamante Cross, as well as the press, has made see Schwarzenegger like a racist. is an immigrant, it understands his fight, and it wants to help. But also he thinks that the laws is necessary to obey them, he concluded. Schwarzenegger voted in favor of Proposal 187 in 1994 to prevail to the undocumented immigrants to attend state schools, or to obtain medical attention. The main impeller of the initiative was ex- Pete governor Wilson, who at the moment is the codirector of the campaign of the republican candidate.

LOL. The Democrats in this state could go on live TV and turn off all the power and "outlaw" all business in this state -- and the Democrats in your state and the other 49+DC wouldn't learn a thing or change a thing.
This state could completely collapse financially (as some on FR are sickeningly hoping for), and "Liberalism" wouldn't be dead at all.
In fact, a collapse of the CA economy would seriously damage our nation (35M people here, and probably 10% or more or our nations GDP) -- and who do you think would get the blame in the East Coast press? Seriously.
Some of you out there think some sort of "lesson" will cause the light to "pop on" in leftists' heads. I'm sure some people said the same thing after McGovern got stomped. And then again after Dukakis got blown out. But there they are again with McGovern wannabe Howard Dean and another MASS. dem in Kerry.

but classic DemocRAT-think: Will do anything to cling to power -- even turning over the country to someone who will destroy it, rather than see their enemy (us) prevail. That's for sure.
An article posted yesterday told of Jack Kennedy submitting IRS employee's to "loyalty tests", TO THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, then sicing the IRS on JFK's perceived enemies.

How quickly can CA voters recall this pencil-necked communist geek? If there is a way to expedite this, it should be done before the commie can do any more harm to our country (not just CA).

The California Supreme Court ruled that a driver's license is a de facto proof of citizenship. (Perkey vs.. DMV, CA State Supreme Court, July 24, 1986)

Is there any way whatsoever to block this, via the courts (either state or federal)...?

Did you catch the FOX footage yesterday of Bustamante leaving after the debate? Journalists werefollowing him down the street asking questions and he refused to answer all except the Spanish speaker. He totally ignored the English speakers.

From the CALIFORNIA DMV's OWN WEBSITE, stating the requirements, and why positive identification of legal residence is necessary to protect the system.Watch for this part of their website to be taken down soon, since they can no longer claim credibility or fool-proof-ness in their Cal. drivers license issuance procedures, effective 6 p.m. tonight:
