Why is it that liberals think that Jefferson's "seperation of church and state" writings (taken out of context,BTW) are the absolute LAST word in religious vs. government matters yet his writings on the 2A mean nothing?

Because none of those words mean absolutely anything to them. Their anti-american, self pepetuating, socialist/marxist agenda is all that matters and they will use our words, the founders words, or anyone else's if they can get the useful idiots to continue to support them.

It is the nature of the beast we are fighting. There is no negotiatiog or compromise with them (you can't compromies on unalienable rights anyway...or you immediately give them up) just as there is none with the Islamofascists who want to kill us.

These people want to control us...and ultimately will kill any that they cannot.

I did extensive research on that apocryphal Jefferson quote, and it's a phony. There is some stuff close to it, but that is not a real quote.

Perhaps because this particular one, he didn't say, or at least no one can find when he said or wrote it, and there are some pretty complete books of his writings and speaches out there. This one is sometime seen with a citation, but the citation is a mangled one, a version of one such collection, but with the editor wrong, and the title mangled.. and what's worse, the quotation is not to be found there.. I looked personally, took a 1/2 day of vaction to do it too.

However your basic point is well taken. Jefferson did have lots to say about keeping and bearing arms. All of it pro arms rights and pro shooting sports as well. He also penned that little ditty about the blood of tyrants and patriots.
