You know, I look here on FR, where Conservatives screams about freedom and US Constitution...US Constitution gives peoples freedom of speach? Right? So then if man exercises his right, regardless if agree or not, he should loose his job? In one phrase...welcome to the Soviet Union...we Russians left that system 12 years ago...guess America want take the mantle?

I don't think this is about repressing freedom of speech as much as it is about expecting well-known personalities to exercise a modicum of restraint about their opinions. The Bible says to whom much is given, much will be expected. Many of these people are extremely well-to-do...they have been "given" much. And probably have less actual info about politics than your average plumber (who usually ALSO makes big bucks!).

Maybe the most disgusting part of all this to me is that most of these liberal actors have lived pretty sorry lives...raising ill-adjusted kids, doing drugs, multiple marriages, etc. Yet they want to tell the rest of us what is right and wrong. Personally, I just skip most of their movies...and I don't seem to have missed much.

While I detest the rats involved in the latest anti-American statements and actions like Depp's, I believe in personal boycotts not organized ones. For instance I refuse to join AARP for headlining traitors like Danny Glover, but I'll let my wife join if she wants to.

Not to be too explicit but anyone with a moderate knowledge of the internet can download every movie now playing in theaters and almost every movie or every song or album that has appeared on TV, CD or DVD. While I agree we should support every patriotic artist by paying to see their (good) movies if you must see a movie with one of these ugly Americans in it-they ain't hard to find.

Why in the hell should we be friendly to our enemies within, when they are nothing but traitors. I would think that most Russians would understand that. No one here is saying that they should be sent to the Gulag, just to not watch their movies. I for one do not watch any movie starring leftist anti-American scum. We in the Red States will always be that way. I would expect that the American South would be that last place to give in to the leftists in this country. The attitude down there is, more or less, "We don't give a damn if you don't like our beliefs." Remember, this is the region of the country that is represented the most in our military, with the Mid-West being second. In other words, this is the "fightin" part of the country. We will never submit and this scares the hell out of our own home-grown commie of the east and left coasts.
