If Bush and co. are willing to let down and let twist in the wind Miguel Estrada, an indivdual who they had so much political capital invested in (not enough apprenetly), why should I believe that they won't sell outthe conservative base and values as well? Uh it was the demos who let Estrada twist in the wind and threw out 200 years of Senate precedent.
Oh that's right you could never blame the demos.

"threw out 200 years of Senate precedent."
You've belabored that point ad nausuem. It's been refuted and should be ignored. Unless you have something else to say kindly do not reply to my posts.

Wrong. The Dems did what they felt they had to do to keep a judge they opposed off the bench - and it worked!
The blame goes squarely to the Senate Republicans and the Bush Administration who never made the case for Estrada a high enough priority to achieve victory.
The sad part is the Republicans will never stoop to such tactics themselves. Democrats have kicked them in the nuts again and their response will be "oh, well". Face it, our senators are spineless. Why does Rove want more RINOs in the Senate instead of a few who are willing to actually stand for something?

Sure the Demos held it up...and the Repubs let them. It is a total unwillingness to play hardball by the GOP when the game is on THEIR field.
