OK, let me see if I got this straight:
Im supposed to boycott all movies cuz at least one actor/producer/director rails against the POTUS and/or America and cuz another FReeper told me I should.
Im supposed to boycott Wally-World cuz they insist on importing stuff from China and cuz another FReeper told me I should.
Im supposed to boycott almost all kinds of Music cuz at least one artist/producer/distributor rails against the POTUS and/or America and cuz another FReeper told me I should.
Im supposed to boycott K-Mart cuz they quit selling guns and had Rosie ODonut as a spokesman and cuz another FReeper told me I should.
Im supposed to boycott every Television show in existence (I think Mr. Rogers neighborhood and the really old westerns are still OK, but I might be wrong) cuz at least one actor/producer/director/sponsor rails against the POTUS and/or America, or they showed a naked bum, or said a naughty word and cuz another FReeper told me I should.
Im supposed to boycott every product connected (however slight) to either France, Germany, Belgium and/or the Netherlands cuz they said/did something to offend the POTUS and/or America and cuz another FReeper told me I should.
Im supposed to boycott almost every sponsor's product that ever advertised on said television show, or movie, or radio, or billboard, cuz another FReeper told me I should.
Well no offense guys, But if I were to boycott everything that I was told to boycott, I would be able to do nothing but sit on a bare concrete floor, naked, and twiddle my thumbs.
And believe me, that is NOT a pretty picture.
So, if youll excuse me, Ill decide which products/movies/TV shows/music/etc.etc.etc. I boycott.
Thanks anyway, Cuz

Not to be sarcastic, just to make a point. All of the priest that molested the children invoked the name of God daily while doing the devils work. I prefer to go by works and deeds rather than words.Just my thoughts.

Well, last movie I went to in the theater was Lord of the Rings--the first one--so it's not as if hollywood gets much of my money. But I make it a policy not to boycott movies/music based on an artists personal beliefs/comments. That's too much micromanagement. He's a fine actor. I enjoy many of his films. I won't vote for him if he runs for something.

Nope...we don't expect that at all and are not telling you what to do...We are merely sharing information with others. You are free to do with that info as you so choose. It's a free country.
As for myself and many other patriots, we will not support those celebs who rely on our money to allow them a platform from which to bash America...

she's married to kevin Bacon, another traitor in Hollywood. They both signed the NION statements accusing the Bush admin of waging a war for oil.
So far, this "war for oil" is costing a lot more than any oil we are supposedly stealing...some deal, huh? LOL
Just proves how lame their argument is.

Not at all...There are far more movies out WITHOUT anti-American celebs in them...

To: AntiGuv
that's so not true...there are a ton of movies out there to go see...we just list the ones who feature the anti-American celebs.
To: Huck
that's your right, of course...keep in mind, you are financing Johnny Depp's French lifestyle, and allowing him a platform from which to bash America.
Johnny Depp does not deserve our money. Of course, you are free to do as you choose.
To: grumple
thank you for your service...You are a hero and deserve our admiration. I think the trend is changing in this country, as more realize celebs and sports stars are just shallow flakes.

I didn't interview him. I didn't buy the magazine. I didn't propogate his words. The news media did that. Drudge did that. Fox News did that. Free Republic did that. They gave him a mouthpiece. They broadcast his dumb remarks.
What I do is enable him to do by spending my money is act in films. I hope he continues to do so, because he has a high % of films I like. If he makes an antiamerican film, I won't see it. As far as his lifestyle is concerned, or where he lives, that's his business and I spend my money based on my own sense of perceived value. It's a free market and when it comes to acting, he earns his keep. So don't blame me for giving Johnny Depp a platform to make dumb comments. I had nothing to do with it. Blame all the news outlets who chose to air his words and spread them around as if they meant any more than the idle chit chat of a drunk standing at a urinal.

"BRITNEY LIKES BUSH"
Yeh, but she kissed another girl, or is that the bush referred to? What am I gonna do - she's right on this & wrong on that - do I only half support/like her? Trouble, trouble, boil & bubble...
To: jonalvy44
"Once upon a time in Mexico" is a continuation to "Desperado" Selma Hyack was naked in that one sooooo- you would have a better chance of running through hell in gasoline underwear than some stupid ass liberals political veiw of keeping me away from that! Besides Depp is the only one who kept his word and moved to France.

they did not interview ME for my opinion...I don't have the same platform he does. He's a movie star, I'm a working stiff. By boycotting him into obscurity, he won't have that platform anymore...

OK, I went to PABAAH! to see what Heath Ledger said/did, and it doesn't say. I assume it's in the restricted portions, but I'm sick and tired of registering with every site I visit.

Does the key grip get more money if the movie is a financial success? Otherwise, I just don't know if I can line Mr. Depp's pocket, at least until it hits video.

"Where else do you hear someone on television thanking God for what they have?" All the award shows. They'll get thru sucking face with Madonna or walking the red carpet with their bodies exposed while on the arm of whomever they are currently having sex with and win an award for some trash. When they get to the podium they thank God and mom.
a 'one of my pet peeves' rant. :)
the guy on tv thanking God that his family didn't blow away with his trailer when the tornado hit...a bit more sincere and believable.
