Dear Friends,

I'm writing to update you on an important development in the Church in the U.S. -- I'd like you to be a part of this initiative.

Next Monday, September 8, I will be in Washington, D.C., for a special meeting of about forty Catholic lay leaders as well as Cardinal Theodore McCarrick of Washington and Bishop Wilton Gregory, president of the U.S. Bishops' Conference.

This meeting will be a unique opportunity for us to personally voice our questions, concerns about problems, and recommendations for improving the situation in the Church directly to these key bishops.
