I "get" what the fuss is, but am reasonably skeptical of the story we're hearing (on this thread and others) -- the facts just don't add up. Why the sudden rush of reports from nurses who clearly remember witnessing -- but not reporting -- criminal acts some years ago? Have they been undergoing repressed memory therapy?

I think it would be along the lines of deathbed confession. Not only that, but we don't know what has happened in their lives. Possibly they are more financially secure and don't need to keep quiet for a job, or they have become a Christian and want to confess and receive absolution....there are a lot of reasons. And not one of them has said they "suddenly remember" - they simply decided to come forward.

I read in a well-cited interview that one of them said it looked like Terri was actually going to be killed and that she just couldn't live with that. Again, that whole 'deathbed confession' mentality.

Whatever the case, they certainly have raised eyebrows and ire.

Here is an important fact to note at the outset, if you're of a mind to dig deeper.

When Terri collapse, Michael filed a medical malpractice suit which had a 1.2 million award, $700,000.00 plus for Terri's rehab services to be done, $300,000.00 to Michael for lose of spousal partner and the rest for court and attorney fees. Michael subsequently 'took up with' another female and has a child living with them and another perhaps on the way. When he took up with the new female, he began his efforts to have her starved to death and has consistently refused to divoce Terri and be with the other female legally. You can draw your own conclusions, but Judge Greer has given Michael the right to use the money allotted for Terri's rehab to pay Atty. Felos in the removal of food and water suit!

And that's just for starters, GS. It gets much worse and concerned people are digging the business and board-member connections between the Judges and Atty Felos (in their Euthanasia and Hemlock Society 'causes') out of hiding, to pass along.

It seemed odd to me that Schiavo would say those things, too.

But, since he might have been "acting the role" of a loving husband for all those years, he might have dropped his mask once in a great while, too.

I have prayed for Terri for many years.
She is a real,living, human being I have never met, yet I am able to genuinely mourn and protest her state orchestrated murder.
GS, nothing in this case is "sudden".
If you think that CNAs and LPNs at Hospice organizations submit affidavits just for media attention...well.. you should STFU, and remain silent on issues (such an ugly word for a womans life)that you "feel" yourself to be educated on.
A woman, not accused of any crime, will be executed by court orders in the State of Florida, because she is not "healthy enough " and her spouse wants the balance of the money he "won" to make her altered existance bearable.
God save us.
And may God damn us if we choose to accept this as normal and "right".
