Well, I'm no supporter of PETA here but there is nothing in this article that is credibly sourced. The stuff about rounding upp all those cats seems kinda fishy...I generally notice cats that bolt into hiding at the approach of stranges...

And the business of names not being mentioned, well that's akin to CNN's widely overused line of "anonymous sources say...". For as much as I'd like to believe the article, the author lends little to no credibility...just comparable liberal innuendo...

I have to say it struck me as having the ring of truth. That is to say, I believe there are groups out there, if not PETA, then the Animal Liberation Front or some splinter group, willing and able to pursue this course, if not actively doing so as we speak.

As to my point about domesticated animals, I came across this quote:

We have no ethical obligation to preserve the different breeds of livestock produced through selective breeding....One generation and out. We have no problems with the extinction of domestic animals. They are creations of human selective breeding.

-- Wayne Pacelle, Former National Director of Fund for Animals.

Gunny: I am the author's editor and he has mailed me a copy of his source notes. I believe him and have deleted the names of the people involved to protect them from possible reprisals from the PETA wackos, as they live within the local area and are within reach of these domestic terrorists.

Dress it up any way you want, but PETA, like the ALF and ELF and even Al-Qaeda - by virtue of their actions, are enemies of the state and must be destroyed - period.

As far as I'm concerned with these PETA wackos: BRING IT ON!

I was just at a carpeting place the other day where they had a nice little cat roaming around the store - I petted it and it ended up following me around the entire time. Hmm...

Yeah, they don't round up cats with a horse and lasso, they use live traps. It could still be referred to as 'rounding up' a bunch of cats.

PETA has been very much linked with some of the official domestic terrorist groups - so why not this idiocy? We know what terrorist groups do to innocent bystanders and how much they REALLY care about those that make up what they say their cause is, so why would PETA be any different?

And yes, I would be the first to believe any story of evil behavior coming from PETA nuts. Because it RINGS TRUE TO FORM.
