I saw another threat that free republic is going to have uninvited guests - seminar flamers. If they get offensive, we turn them in to the admin moderator. If they annoy, they'll bump our threads to the top and we can ignore them.

The Nazis are widely known as nationalists, but that label is often used to obscure the fact that they were also socialists. Some question whether Hitler himself actually believed in socialism, but that is no more relevant than whether Stalin was a true believer. The fact is that neither could have come to power without at least posing as a socialist.

I watch the ABC evening news frequently...

I also have a habit of watching ABC News when I can. Last night, I was so incensed at Jennings that I tried to E-mail ABC. I was unwilling to "join" their club in order to make comments. Ultimately I called my local ABC affiliate and bitched to the girl who answers the phone. I realize that it was a waste of time, yet, I somehow felt better about it later.
